Sevens: learn through an example

Read the position before choosing your next action. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Keep the goal in mind before your next move. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

Bring this focus to a round

Begin with the basic rule, then follow the result of your action. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.

The challenge in front of you

The example and rules describe the same game you can play above. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. The game area remains available above the explanation.

How to proceed

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

Input guidance

Use the controls beside the game rather than guessing the rules. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. The game area remains available above the explanation.

Keep this in mind

A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. The game area remains available above the explanation.
